I'm glad you continue to enjoy exploring our wide world, but taking on the local virology is probably taking the adventure a little too far! Glad to hear you are back in action and fighting fit.
I am glad you are feeling better. However, I don't agree with you :D
I'd rather go for alternative medicine. Garlic for instance is an excellent natural anti-biotic, and has proven to protect aganist numerous viruses, when swallowed raw. Similar for ginger, variety of herbs, and honey. If the case is travelling and seasons change, then following natural remedies, and having a balanced-healthy diet with sufficient sleep, is a rule of thumb 👍
Thanks Yousra, I totally agree and I'm a fan of garlic (for antiviral properties via allium) and ginger (for nausea and inflammation, but I'm less convinced about its antimicrobial properties).
There's a big difference between innate immunity, which is what the garlic helps with, and adaptive immunity, which is what the vaccine helps with. Every medicine has it's positive effects and side effects, and when you make a decision to take one, complimentary or otherwise, I would hope that the benefits outweigh the unwanted side effects. For me, my level of exposure to disease absolutely warrants vaccination.
I get your point Nick. It is just really difficult to trust pharmaceutical companies, especially after the pandamic and what research has shown to us. I don't undervalue the effect of vaccination in similar situations, however, perhaps finding balance would be the best way to deal with it. Thank you for yout valuable, insights provoking posts. I will make sure to read the mountain healers piece :)
An informative read again!
I was not sure where it was leading until I got to the end. Thank you.
I'm totally fine now by the way! This was a couple of weeks ago :D

If you're interested in natural medicine you should have a read of Blog #10 about the mountain healers that I visited in Georgia
