About the Author, NS:
Commonly confused for Normal Saline in the health service world, Nick Sourlos was born and grew up in Melbourne, Australia, and lived within a 10km radius of the CBD for the first 20 years of his life. During his Bachelor of Pharmacy studies at Monash University, he was able to experience international experiences and open his perspective to different communities, cultures and ways of living. This accelerated his interests in health practices and innovation, naturally prompting further studies into global business and strategy with a Masters of Business Administration.
He started writing this blog, the PatientPreneur (blending the words ‘Patient’ and ‘Entrepeneur’) back in 2024 — in part, to document real world applications of what he learnt at university, but to also document unusual entanglements of thoughts and ideas. Think of his blog as a full-time experiment that is still being pieced together.
NS previously worked in an Escape Room venue, and he attributes much of his creative inspiration from times when he would supply trapped people with a series of interrelated puzzles before setting them free. Yes this sounds similar to Jigsaw’s approach in the movie Saw, but it promises to far more fun and completely free of pain.
